DIY- White on White Crackle Canvas

As a lot of you already know- I am somewhat obsessed with looking at Pintrest on a daily basis and collecting fun and simple craft project ideas! About 2 weeks ago, I decided that I wanted to make my friend and her soon-to-be husband a little house-warming gift! I dont know the "official" name of this particular project so for now we will call it "White on White Crackle Canvas"

This project was SUPER simple to do and all you need is......

1. A canvas of whatever size you want
2. Wood letters (pack of 2 or more to get all the double letters you might need)
3. White Paint
4. Primer Sealer
5. Crackle Texture
6. Spatula
7. Super Glue
8. A Dachshund named Chloe....oh wait! :)

All of these can be found either at your local craft store, but I got all my supplies at Hobby Lobby!

First, I painted all the wooden letters that I would need to spell out "All You Need Is Love" and let that dry for a couple hours while I painted the canvas with the primer. This allows whatever you paint on top to "bond" better with the canvas allowing your artwork to last longer! Usually it takes primer 24 hours to completely dry before you can paint on top of it so this isnt just a 1 day project!

After the primer dries completely you take your Crackle Texture and spread it around your canvas in a back and forth motion with a large or small spatula (depending on how big you want your strokes) until you get the texture just how you want it! I used a smaller spatula but next time will probably use a larger one for a different look!

Let the Crackle Texture dry over night and whenever its 100% dry- take super glue and carefully glue the letters onto your canvas wherever you want!

When you done it should look something like this!

You end up with a neat white on white canvas piece!! Neat huh??

Happy crafting!! What are some projects you found on Pintrest that you found fun to do??
